Token Congress 2026 proved to be a fantastic weekend for Rumnicoin, with plenty of business done, lots of new faces met and another opportunity to spend time with collectors and specialists from across the numismatic community.

Held at the Hilton Hotel in Northampton, the Token Congress offered something a little different from the usual coin fair. With a strong focus on tokens and related areas of numismatics, it was a great opportunity to see some fascinating material, make new contacts and catch up with familiar faces.

Plenty of new faces and plenty of business

One of the best parts of attending events like this is getting to meet people face-to-face.

We had a steady flow of visitors throughout the Congress, with plenty of conversations around buying, selling, valuations and collecting in general. We also managed to do some good business over the weekend and came away with new purchases and contacts that we hope to work with again in the future.

For us, these events are about more than simply buying and selling. They are an important part of building relationships within the numismatic community and putting faces to names we may previously have only dealt with online.

Our Auction 1 catalogues were a huge hit

One thing we did not quite expect was the response to our original Rumnicoin Auction 1 catalogues.

We brought a supply along to the Congress and they proved so popular that we were completely cleared out by the end of the event.

It was brilliant to see people taking such an interest in the early history of Rumnicoin and our first auction. What began as our inaugural sale has now become part of the story of how the business has developed, so seeing those catalogues being picked up by collectors was particularly rewarding.

A great reaction to the Rumnicoin stand

To top off an already enjoyable weekend, we were delighted to receive a shoutout for having the best stand at the Congress.

A lot of thought goes into how we present Rumnicoin at fairs and events, so it was really nice to hear such positive feedback.

Whether someone stopped by to buy something, sell a coin, pick up a catalogue, ask a question or simply have a chat, we appreciate everyone who took the time to visit us over the weekend.

 

We will definitely be back

Token Congress was another reminder of how important the social side of numismatics remains.

Online auctions and digital platforms allow us to reach collectors around the world, but there is still something special about getting a room full of people together who share the same interest.

A huge thank you to the organisers and everyone who made us feel welcome.

After such a positive first experience, Rumnicoin will definitely be back at Token Congress next year.
