Great Britain. Somerset CU Halfpenny Token. 1794. IOHN HOWARD F.R.S., HALFPENNY, bust left / REMEMBER THE DEBTORS IN GOAL * , GO FORTH * beaded circle containing a female (Benevolence) seated on an urn right. Left arm has a laurel branch resting on it. Right hand raised in pointing to a barred window, directing her messenger left. DH 36. 9.13g, 28.20mm, 6h. About Uncirculated. Light spot on reverse, a bold example.
