Sleaford Bank lot of 5x Paper Promissory Banknotes. 1794. £13/0/0, £15/0/0 (x2), £18/0/0 & £26/0/0 notes issued to various payees from the bank between February & October of 1794. All bearing the Company Watermark and containing wonderful old calligraphy writing to front and rear, the latter being a brief description of the payees and the reasoning for the amounts. Fantastic old Bank History. Very Fine and without tears and creases, some staining from the original ink. Very Scarce. Sleaford bank operated from 1792 until its take over in 1912 by Lloyds Bank of London. Lot sold as seen, No Returns.
