India, British Colonial. Victoria AR Rupee on ornate storage / Pill box. 1862-1901. A wonderful piece of Indian exonumia, a Victoria silver rupee fitted to the top of an ornate filigree worked round pill type box with brass edges and clasps, the rest of the box is tin or similar. Obviously a personal item of importance as a rupee was quite some money in the period, nontheless this is a wonderful item for a collector to house some coins, or something else perhaps.Coin is About Extremely fine and toned, the rest is all in good order. Rare and unusual.
