Laurel wreath around to loop at top for suspension, elephant with castle on back in centre, hallmarked in exergue / engraved, HORATIO NELSON DAVIS LIVERY date below. Garnett 2, plate 2. By A.T.Arms. 30.50g, 60mm x 44mm, 12h. Extremely Fine. Excessively Rare.Issued by the Worshipful Company of Cutlers in London for Livery. Sword makers since AD1450, the company and guild is still operating today, although the sword making is mainly for ceremonial reasons now and the mainstay of the companies members is cutlery. An excessively rare medal with a superb recipient, obviously named after the families hero, Horatio Nelson. Ex. Timothy Millett collection. Year: 1829
