Prize Medal; Issued in Paris as the Third Prize Award during the Carnivale La Micareme de Paris for the Costume entitled "Alhambra". The loop top medal award measures 41mm and weighs 22.7 gr. The obverse depicts the Thesbian mask of an agrieved actor's face within a wreath. The engraving on the reverse reads "Alhambra, Bal de la Micareme 1899, 3rd Prix de Costume" within the wreath. The piece is topped with an elaborate loop retainer and silver loop for suspension.
