π§ A striking coin from the ancient city of Larissa in Thessaly, minted between 440β400 BC. The obverse shows a nude youth restraining the forepart of a charging bull β a powerful symbol of control, vigour, and the human struggle against nature. A delicate rose appears below the bull, with a crescent moon above.
π The reverse features the forepart of a galloping horse, all set within a square border. Below is a subtle nod to myth β the sandal of Jason, hero of the Argonauts, linking the piece directly to Greek legend. Small but mighty, this silver hemidrachm captures both artistry and storytelling in metal.
π A fantastic example of early Hellenic coinage from one of the most iconic regions of Ancient Greece β ideal for lovers of myth, history, and beautifully struck silver.
